An ICAI–MSME yatra campaign covering 75 cities in 75 days was flagged off by GCCI, president Ralph De Souza, GSIA, secretary Kiran Sirsat onNovember 11.
Organised by the Goa branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the yatra aims at highlighting the role played by CA’s in strengthening the MSME sector in India. During the event six helpdesks were set up for the facilitation of MSMEs. The helpdesks are manned by experts who provided free Udhyam registration, guidance on finance schemes of SIDBI and SBI and handholding on availing incentives like NSIC, DFO MSME and Invoice discounting. Technical sessions were also held wherein the experts guided the MSMEs present on the various support schemes available to them. A special session was also conducted by CA Yogesh Kulkarni, on Financial excellence for MSMEs.
