Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Limited was recently awarded the prestigious State Industrial Development Corporation award at Jodhpur, Rajasthan, for its outstanding performance in industrial growth in Goa.

The 8th edition of the National Council of State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation of India was organised by the Council of State Industrial Development and Investment Corporations of India, under the aegis of the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Limited.

Rajasthan’s Industry and Commerce Minister Shakuntala Rawat presented the award to EDC chairman Sadanand Shet Tanavade, managing director B.S. Pai Angle and DGM John de Souza.

Four assisted units from Goa were awarded the Outstanding Entrepreneurs Award. Directors at Healthway Hospitals Dr. Virendra Gaonkar, Dr. Nilesh Talwadker and Dr. Steven Dias accepted the award. M/s. Aditya Plastics was awarded for the Best Performing 1st Generation Entrepreneur and the award was collected by Sandip Naik for their project at Kundaim. M/s. La-Kood LLP was awarded for the Best Woman Entrepreneur and the award was collected by Reshma Sukthankar for their project at Tuem. M/s. Armacar Holdings Private Limited was awarded for the Best Performing Unit for its supermarket and the award was collected by EDC Limited on behalf of Prakash Pereira.
